About Me
I am a licensed clinical psychologist practicing in Indianapolis. My training began with undergraduate studies in psychology. I completed an honors thesis and had the great privilege of being given the Donald R. Ottinger Award for excellence in research. I graduated with honors from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Child Development and Family Studies.
After graduating from college, I was accepted into the Clinical Psychology program at Purdue University. I was honored to be awarded with two merit-based fellowships that provided my tuition and living expenses for the entirety of my graduate training. I completed research with military families and taught undergraduate courses in Abnormal Psychology and Honors Cognitive Psychology. During my time in the Clinical program, I earned my Masters of Science degree in Clinical Psychology as well as my Ph.D.
Throughout the course of my graduate training, I sought out clinical experiences that afforded me the opportunity to work with diverse clients in a wide range of settings. I provided assessment and intervention services to children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of treatment settings including medical facilities, outpatient psychiatric clinics, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, departmental clinics, and schools. My training focused on learning to deliver research-based treatments to individuals across the lifespan. Toward the end of my training, I was awarded the position of Clinic Coordinator of the Purdue Psychology Treatment and Research Clinics and managed four specialty clinics.
I was accepted at IU School of Medicine where I completed my pre-doctoral psychology internship as well as a postdoctoral fellowship and was elected Chief Intern. At the conclusion of my training at IU School of Medicine, I was offered a position at St. Vincent where I worked as a psychologist and behavior specialist. I have been in private practice since 2013.
When I'm not at work, I enjoy movies, live music and spending all the time I can with my husband and two beautiful kids.
